Takeo Kojima Monument Project
Takeo Kojima Monument Project
On May 28th, 2018, the first Professional Mahjong player, Takeo Kojima passed away. He was loved by many Mahjong lovers throughout Japan and was involved in the Mahjong Shin-Sen-Gumi and Japan Professional Mahjong League and was known for his “Showcasing of Mahjong”.
Takeo Kojima Pro was a great Jan-Shi (Mahjong Player) who was loved by all organizations within the industry and Mahjong fans.
The Japan Professional Mahjong League and the executive committee thought that it was suiting for a mound to be made at a symbolic location for Takeo Kojima as he was loved so much by everyone.
Tetsuya Asada, who was like a brother to him during the Mahjong Shin-Sen-Gumi era, has a monument built in Fushimi Inari Mountain.
We will be building a monument for Takeo Kojima Sensei next to it.
